We would keep the paperwork to a minimum, but I would need:

• a short description of the work to be performed
• all the inputs needed to perform the work, such as the software requirements
• the application to be tested
• any special software tools

We would just have to agree on an hourly rate and the work could begin.

Example work package could be to test a new application for a mobile phone, iPad or other embedded device. This could involve requirements based testing or low level unit testing. When I do testing I usually find possible improvements to the requirements and the code, which would improve the overall quality of your product.
